We tell the story. The Foundation helps rewrite it.

Restoring Lives Through Truth, Recovery, and Purpose

The True Story Recovery Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to helping individuals break free from addiction, rebuild their identity, and step into a life of
purpose.

Founded by Brandon Couch, the foundation exists to serve those who feel stuck, forgotten, or out of options—offering real support through recovery storytelling, coaching scholarships, community events, and faith-based encouragement.

We believe recovery is more than sobriety—it’s about transformation. It’s about
renewing the mind, restoring identity, and creating a future rooted in truth.

  • Provide recovery coaching scholarships for individuals who cannot afford support
  • Host community events and outreach focused on healing and connection
  • Support veterans and justice-involved individuals navigating recovery and
    reintegration
  • Share real stories of transformation through media, podcasting, and speaking

Addiction isolates. Shame silences.
But when people are given a space to be real, they can begin to heal.
Your support helps us reach more individuals, expand our programs, and provide life-changing resources to those who need it most.

"Brandon's passion for helping others find freedom in Christ is incredibly authentic. He shares his own powerful story with vulnerability and encourages others to find real hope in Christ. Brandon shares his personal experiences in recovery and wants to support others on their path. I am blessed to call Brandon a friend and to see him walking his journey out with the bravery and strength found in Christ. God bless you, Brandon!"

"The Recovery Couch with Brandon. I just got done listening to Brandon’s first episode where he interviews Tony Miltenberger. Pretty fantastic. Too many times we think conversations like this are the exception, I hope and pray that conversations like these become normal—conversations about healing, recovery, redemption, humility, and faith. Brandon provides space for guests to share raw, real-life stories and guides them into conversations that help others reflect on their own journey. Can't wait for the next episode. Great job Brandon, and thanks Tony for sharing your heart!"
